FAQs
Q: How far in advance should we book our wedding DJ in Nebraska?
A: Most couples book 9–12 months in advance, especially for popular dates. If your wedding is in peak season or on a Saturday, we recommend reaching out as soon as your venue is booked.
Q: Do you handle ceremony audio as well as the reception?
A: Yes. We provide microphones, speakers, and music for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception so you don’t have to coordinate multiple vendors.
Q: Can you provide ceremony audio and microphones?
A: Absolutely. Clear, crisp audio matters, even for Uncle Joe who insists on sitting in the back row. We handle music cues, wireless mics, lapel mics for officiants, speaker setup, and everything needed so your guests hear every laugh, vow, and happy tear.
Q: Do you take song requests?
A: Yes, and we read the room to make sure requests fit the vibe. We also take pre-event song requests from you through our planning system, so your night feels personal, intentional, and fun.
Q: Can we customize our playlist?
A: 100%. You can send us your must-plays, play-if-possible tracks, and a do-not-play list (yes… even if it’s the Chicken Dance). We'll take your musical taste and blend it with what keeps your crowd dancing.
Q: Do you travel outside Omaha / Eastern Nebraska / Western Iowa?
A: Yes, we regularly travel throughout the region. If your event is farther away, we’ll create a custom travel package that keeps everything easy for you.
Q: What is required to book?
A: A signed contract and first payment secure your date. We keep the booking process simple, straightforward, and stress-free, just how planning should be.
Q: What makes Ackerman Events different from other DJs?
A: We blend experience, intentional planning, and a packed-dance-floor mindset. You're not just hiring someone to play music — you're getting a partner who cares about your story, your energy, and your people.
Because the perfect day deserves the perfect soundtrack.
Q: Will the DJ also act as the MC?
A: Yes. We don't just play music, we guide flow, keep the night on schedule, make polished announcements, and make sure each transition feels smooth and natural for you and your guests.
