Ackerman Events was founded by Zach Ackerman, a DJ who’s spent nearly a decade helping couples celebrate life’s biggest moments.     Zach Ackerman is the energy, heart, and creative force behind Ackerman Weddings & Events. With nearly a decade of experience, Zach brings more than just music to the table — he brings the kind of thoughtful, high-vibe entertainment that turns a wedding into a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

    What started as a deep love for music evolved into a career rooted in celebration, connection, and unforgettable moments. After returning home to Omaha from a theater internship in New York, Zach’s passion for storytelling, performance, and sound came full circle. He began DJing alongside some of Eastern Nebraska’s top wedding professionals before launching his own company in 2019.

    Since then, Zach has built a reputation as a go-to wedding DJ and event professional in Nebraska and Western Iowa. Known for his ability to read a room, manage flow, and match energy to emotion, Zach ensures that everything from your first dance to your last song happens at just the right time.

    Zach specializes in diverse and inclusive weddings, including multicultural, Indian, African, and Deaf weddings — making space for every couple’s culture, personality, and vision to shine.

    Beyond the booth, Zach is known for being easy to work with: approachable, patient, and genuinely excited to help couples create an experience that feels like them. When he’s not DJing, he’s digging into new tracks, updating custom mixes, and finding new ways to elevate every event he’s part of.

    Zach’s goal? To make sure every couple walks away saying, “That was better than we imagined.”

    Michelle Rife brings warmth, fun, and a personal touch to every event she’s part of. As the photo booth expert at Ackerman Weddings & Events, she’s the smiling face behind the camera — making sure guests have a blast while capturing memories they’ll treasure long after the party ends.

    With a background in early childhood education and experience running activities in a local nursing home, Michelle has a special gift for making people of all ages feel comfortable and included. Whether she’s helping kids pose with props, showing grandparents how to text their favorite snapshots, or keeping the energy high around the booth, Michelle makes every interaction feel genuine and joyful.

    Her calm, patient presence and eye for detail help create a seamless experience at every wedding, party, or celebration. From setup to send-off, Michelle ensures that guests walk away with more than just a great photo — they leave with a smile and a moment worth remembering.
